Butterfly In the Sky ...

One of my goals for 2010 is to make more time for reading.
I love to read, but rarely allow myself the time.
So I have made a goal to read 75 books this year.
(We'll see how it goes!)
But, you will probably be seeing a lot of suggestions on here
as I find some great new books!

This is a new favorite ...
mystery, murder, romance, a family secret, and the roaring 20's.
Loved it.

A Conversation With My 16 year old Sister Emily ...

The following is a true story.

Setting: 2 sisters eating lunch at a restaurant

Me: I love this song!

Em: Who sings this song?

Me: I'm not sure.

Em: It's going to bug me until I remember.

Me: You'll have to Google it when we get home.

Em: Yeah, cause it is going to bug me.

Me: Imagine what my life was like when I was little and we didn't have the Internet to look things up.

Em: (in horror) What did you do?!?

Me: We just had to wait until we could go to the library and look something up in the encyclopedia.

Em: What is an encyclopedia?

Me: I feel really old!

Redoing A Classic ...

There has been a lot of talk about the remake of
"We Are The World".

I think it is great to raise money,
but I LOVE the original.

I watched the "Making of We Are The World" video
over and over as a child.

So much so that even now when I listen to it
I can tell you who is singing and imitate what they are doing.
I know ... just another one of my AMAZING, yet useless, talents!

So I just wanted to take a moment to honor the original.
Back when Kenny Roger had his original face,
Michael Jackson still looked human,
Cyndi Lauper was still rocking the crazy pink hair,
Stevie Wonder was stealing sweaters from Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable,
Bette Midler had a REALLY bad haircut,
and the REAL Ray Charles was around,
not just Jamie Foxx playing Ray Charles.

Enjoy!

TLC Is Obssessed ...

with little people!

Have you seen their new show "Little Chocolatiers" ?

I am beginning to think they have a little people fetish ...
